Aba Power Announces ₦50 Charge on Nkeanyi Wallet Funding Transactions
Aba Power has notified its customers of a new ₦50 charge that will be applied to every Nkeanyi wallet funding transaction beginning July 1, 2026.
In a notice issued to customers, the electricity distribution company explained that the charge is being imposed by its payment switch operator, Hydrogen Bank, and is not a fee introduced by Aba Power or the Nkeanyi platform.
According to the company, the deduction will take effect at the point of funding the Nkeanyi wallet and will apply exclusively to wallet funding transactions. Customers making payments through other channels were advised to take note of the development and plan accordingly.
The management emphasized that the new charge is external to the company’s operations and was introduced by the payment processing partner responsible for facilitating wallet funding services.
Aba Power further assured customers of its commitment to providing seamless services despite the adjustment, while expressing appreciation for their understanding and continued patronage.
The notice serves as an advance reminder to customers ahead of the implementation date, allowing users of the Nkeanyi wallet platform to familiarize themselves with the new transaction cost before it takes effect on July 1, 2026.
The management thanked customers for their continued support and cooperation as the company continues to enhance its servi
ce delivery.
