Nollywood Actor, Taiwo Hassan Reportedly Battles Stage 4 Cancer, Daughter Appeals for Help
Popular Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, better known as Ogogo, has reportedly been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, sparking concern among his fans, colleagues and well-wishers.
The development was disclosed by the veteran actor’s daughter in a video appeal in which she sought additional support for her father’s ongoing treatment.
According to her, the family’s immediate concern was not primarily financial assistance, but access to alternative or traditional medical treatment that could potentially complement the medical care the actor is currently receiving.
She also acknowledged the intervention of Senator Adeola Solomon Yayi, whom she said had been providing financial assistance to the family during the challenging period.
However, she appealed to individuals with knowledge of or access to traditional medical practitioners and other treatment options to come forward and assist the veteran actor.
The emotional appeal has drawn renewed attention to Ogogo’s health condition, with fans and fellow entertainers expressing concern and expected to rally behind the respected actor and his family as he undergoes treatment.
Taiwo Hassan, one of the prominent figures in the Nigerian film industry, has enjoyed a long and celebrated career, particularly for his roles in Yoruba-language films, earning him a strong following across Nigeria and beyond.
However, the reported Stage 4 cancer diagnosis had not been independently confirmed by Ogogo or his medical team as of the time of publication. The exact nature of his illness and details of his treatment therefore remain unclear pending an official statement from the actor or his rep
resentatives.
