Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Unveils “Tsion Electric Vehicles”, Takes Christ Embassy Into New Technology Frontier
Founder and President of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has unveiled a new range of electric vehicles under the Tsion brand, marking a striking move by the church into technology, innovation and economic development.
The unveiling took place during The New Economy Unveiling 2026 with Pastor Chris, an event organised as part of Christ Embassy’s broader economic and innovation-focused programme.
Videos from the event, which surfaced on social media on Tuesday, showed Pastor Oyakhilome showcasing several electric vehicle models, including the Tsion Passion, Tsion Falcon, Vision series, Vision Coupe and OG series.
The presentation offered a glimpse into the church’s expanding interest in technological innovation and the development of solutions targeted at emerging economic opportunities.
While displaying the vehicles, Oyakhilome noted that some aspects of the designs were still being refined, including the steering wheel. He also explained that the initials OG used for one of the vehicle series stand for Of God.
The unveiling attracted the presence of several Christian leaders, among them Pastor Bolaji Idowu, founder of Harvesters International Christian Centre.
Idowu hailed the development as an indication that the church could extend its influence beyond conventional religious activities and play a meaningful role in the marketplace and wider society.
According to him, the initiative demonstrates the capacity of the church to develop practical solutions to societal challenges rather than simply waiting for others to provide answers.
The Tsion unveiling represents an unusual but significant expansion of Christ Embassy’s activities into the technology and automobile space, adding electric vehicle development to its broader focus on innovation, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.
The development is also coming at a time when electric mobility is attracting increasing attention in Nigeria. Rising energy and transportation costs, alongside growing interest in cleaner and alternative transportation technologies, have strengthened discussions around the future of electric vehicles in the country.
However, key details about the Tsion project, including its manufacturing process, ownership structure, production capacity, investment arrangements and plans for commercial availability, remain unclear.
Despite the limited information currently available, the unveiling has sparked considerable interest online, with the futuristic vehicle designs and the church’s entry into the emerging electric mobility sector generating widespread discussion.
