Aba North Mayor, Timothy Iheke Receives Abia Future Hope Organisation, Assures Members of More Opportunities
The Mayor of Aba North Local Government Area, Hon. Timothy Kalu Iheke, has received members of the Abia Future Hope Organisation, a political support group within the Labour Party, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusiveness, empowerment and improved opportunities for residents.
The group, led by its Coordinator, Comrade Chukwunonye Ukonu, paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor at his office at the Aba North Local Government Council Headquarters.
Receiving the delegation, Mayor Iheke commended the members for their patience, loyalty and enduring spirit, assuring them that his administration would continue to operate an inclusive government where individuals and groups would have opportunities to feel the impact of its programmes and initiatives.
The Mayor said his administration remained committed to reaching out to different segments of the society, stressing that no group would be left behind in the ongoing efforts to improve the lives of the people of Aba North.
He specifically requested that members of the organisation who are artisans be identified for possible empowerment interventions, noting that skilled workers and small-scale entrepreneurs have an important role to play in strengthening the local economy and improving household incomes.
Hon. Iheke also assured the group that additional offers, programmes and opportunities were in the pipeline, expressing optimism that members would benefit from them as they become available.
He urged the members to maintain regular communication with his office so they could remain abreast of government programmes and opportunities designed to benefit them.
Earlier, the Coordinator of the Abia Future Hope Organisation, Comrade Chukwunonye Ukonu, reiterated the group’s commitment to supporting the administration of Governor Alex Chioma Otti and the leadership of Mayor Iheke.
Ukonu reaffirmed the organisation’s readiness to mobilise its members and supporters for the continued success of the administration, including efforts towards the re-election of Governor Otti in 2027.
The visit further underscored the growing engagement between political support groups and the leadership of Aba North Local Government, as the council administration continues to emphasise inclusiveness, empowerment and grassroots participati
on in governance.
