“5 Million Maggots Buried Beneath Pulpit?”: Actress, Doris Ogala Sparks Church Controversy with Explosive Claims Against Pastor Chris Okafor
In a development that has sent shockwaves across social media, Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has leveled startling new allegations against popular cleric Pastor Chris Okafor, claiming that the church pulpit is hiding what she describes as “five million maggots.”
The actress shared the explosive claims in a video circulating online, just days after Pastor Okafor reportedly offered her a public apology during a church service, where he went down on his knees before the congregation.
According to Eyes Of Lagos, the controversy follows an earlier incident in which Doris Ogala accused the pastor of giving her $10,000, a claim she shared online while flaunting the cash. Though she has publicly stated that she has accepted the apology, Ogala insists that church members remain under what she describes as “bondage.”
In her own words, Doris Ogala explained the alleged phenomenon at the church pulpit:
“Do you know the maggot that is buried inside the ground that has over five million maggots? The bigger the maggot gets, the bigger the congregation gets. Why do you think they are not leaving?”
The actress further stressed that her allegations are motivated not by personal bitterness but by concern, insisting that there is more to the church altar than meets the eye.
In prior statements, Ogala called on the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate the church pulpit, claiming that a construction worker had died at the church site and was secretly buried beneath the altar, a claim that has yet to be independently verified.
Responding to the allegations, Pastor Chris Okafor reportedly invited both the DSS and police to investigate the church altar. The cleric also offered to sponsor a full excavation of the pulpit, suggesting that the process could be conducted publicly and televised live to dispel doubts about his integrity.
As of now, no official investigation has been concluded, and authorities have not confirmed or refuted the actress’s dramatic claims, leaving the controversy unresolved and fueling intense debate online.
