BREAKING NEWS: ONE ROBBER ARRESTED AS KEKE GANG ATTEMPTS TO STRANGLE AND ROB PASSENGER IN ABA

Panic broke out on Sunday evening in Aba after a suspected tricycle robbery gang, popularly known as “One-Chance,” launched a violent attack on a passenger they picked up along the busy Old Express Road.

The incident occurred at exactly 5:35pm near the Blue Urch Filling Station, shortly after the victim boarded the tricycle at SAMEC Bus Stop, en route to MCC.

According to eyewitness accounts, the moment the gang noticed that the passenger was using a high-end smartphone, they reportedly descended on him, beating and attempting to suffocate him inside the moving Keke. The attackers allegedly continued the assault until the tricycle approached the Blue Urch Filling Station area, where the victim managed to raise an alarm.

His desperate cries for help immediately drew the attention of passersby and nearby residents, who rushed to intervene. In the ensuing struggle, one of the suspected robbers was apprehended, while the others fled the scene.

At the time of filing this report, residents and witnesses have already contacted the World Bank Police Division, urging officers to arrive promptly to take custody of the arrested suspect and restore calm in the area.
