PRINCE OKEY KANU URGES UNITY, HOPE AND STEADFAST FAITH AS HE FELICITATES WITH NDỊ ABIA ON EASTER

The Abia State Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, has extended warm Easter greetings to the people of Abia State, calling on them to embrace hope, unity, and unwavering faith as they celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In a heartfelt Easter message released on Sunday, April 5, 2026, the Commissioner described the season as the cornerstone of the Christian faith, emphasizing its significance as a symbol of victory of light over darkness and hope over despair.

Quoting John 11:25, “I am the resurrection, and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live,” Kanu reassured Ndị Abia that no situation is beyond redemption and no challenge is insurmountable when anchored on God.

He noted that the resurrection story remains a powerful lesson in resilience, faith, and divine purpose, urging citizens to remain steadfast and optimistic despite prevailing challenges.

According to him, the same Spirit referenced in Romans 8:11, which raised Christ from the dead, continues to dwell in believers, empowering them to overcome limitations and rise above adversity.

The Commissioner further called on Ndị Abia to use the Easter season as a moment of deep reflection, encouraging a renewed commitment to values such as righteousness, peace, truth, and selfless service. He stressed that unity remains the greatest strength of the people and a critical factor in achieving sustainable development in the state.

Kanu also urged residents to remain supportive of ongoing efforts aimed at building a prosperous and just Abia, expressing confidence that collective commitment and faith would drive the state toward greater progress.

He concluded with prayers for peace, joy, and continuous advancement across the state, expressing hope that the risen Christ would grant Ndị Abia the grace to overcome challenges and walk in victory.
