TECHRISE COHORT 3 CBT EXAMINATION: FULL DETAILS ON SCHEDULE, VENUES, REQUIREMENTS AND STRICT GUIDELINES FOR SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS
…as Examination to Hold Tomorrow, Saturday, April 11, 2026
Applicants who have successfully advanced to the Computer-Based Test (CBT) stage of the TechRise Cohort 3 selection process are set to participate in a crucial examination exercise scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, as organizers release comprehensive guidelines to ensure a smooth and credible process.
The CBT examination will consist of 50 objective questions to be completed within a strict timeframe of 45 minutes. Candidates will have access to their scores immediately after completing the test.
However, it has been emphasized that once the allotted time expires, the system will automatically log out candidates and submit all attempted answers, making time management a critical factor for success.
Organizers have also provided a structured breakdown of the exam number assigned to each participant, which serves as a key identifier containing essential details such as the cohort, applicant status, application number, examination venue, batch, and specific exam number. Candidates are strongly advised to carefully interpret this information, as reporting to an incorrect venue or batch will automatically result in forfeiture of the examination.
To accommodate the large number of applicants, four designated CBT centers have been arranged across Aba and Umuahia.
In Aba, candidates will sit for the examination either at ICAN Promax Digital Hub, located along the Enugu/Port Harcourt Expressway in Osisioma, or at Konye Foster Technologies JAMB CBT Center situated off Ebenma Street, Ogbor Hill.
Meanwhile, in Umuahia, examination centers include XYZ Technologies CBT Center near the Abia State Secretariat and Amiable Nigeria Ltd CBT Center along Old Timber Road, opposite Golden Guinea Breweries.
The examination will be conducted in ten batches to ensure orderliness and efficiency, beginning from 8:00 a.m. and concluding at 6:00 p.m. Each batch spans one hour, with candidates expected to undergo verification at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled time. Authorities stress that lateness will not be tolerated, as failure to complete verification on time may lead to disqualification from the exercise.
The batch schedule is structured sequentially from Batch A through Batch J, covering hourly intervals from early morning through the evening. Candidates are therefore urged to strictly adhere to their assigned time slots.
In terms of academic coverage, the CBT will assess candidates across three core subject areas: Mathematics, English Language, and Introduction to Computers. The examination content aligns with standard WAEC and JAMB curricula. Mathematics will test knowledge in areas such as algebra, arithmetic, geometry, statistics, trigonometry, and calculus. English Language will focus on grammar, tenses, parts of speech, syntax, vocabulary, comprehension, punctuation, and spelling. The Introduction to Computers segment will evaluate understanding of computer fundamentals, operating systems, internet and networking, as well as the history of computing.
Strict guidelines have also been outlined to maintain discipline and integrity throughout the examination process. Candidates are prohibited from coming to the venue with bags in order to prevent loss or security issues.
Additionally, mobile phones are not allowed inside the examination hall under any circumstances. Participants are advised to either leave their phones at home or make adequate arrangements for their safekeeping.
Examination authorities warn that any candidate found in possession of or using a mobile phone during the test will face immediate disqualification. Only basic writing materials, including a pen or pencil and a single plain sheet of paper for calculations, will be permitted.
With these detailed arrangements in place, candidates are encouraged to prepare adequately, adhere strictly to the guidelines, and approach the examination with confidence as they compete for a place in the highly competitive TechRise Cohort 3 programme.
