Political Loyalty Clarified as Charisma Obioha Distances Self from Uncle’s Defection, Reaffirms Commitment to Governor Alex Otti’s Reform Agenda in Abia State
A member of the Governor Alex Otti media team, Charisma Obioha, has issued a public disclaimer addressing recent political speculations surrounding his relationship with Chief Iheanyi Frank Chinasa (Dogo) following Chinasa’s defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Obioha explained that he had been inundated with calls and messages over the past three days regarding the development, with many assuming he would align politically with his uncle and close associate.
He, however, made it clear that he is not following Chief Chinasa’s political direction and has instead chosen to align with the Labour Party House of Representatives candidate, stressing that his loyalty remains firmly with the reform-driven leadership of Governor Alex Otti in Abia State.
While distancing himself from the political move, Obioha emphasized that his personal and family relationship with Chief Chinasa remains intact. He noted that friendship and family ties are separate from political affiliations, adding that he continues to hold him in high regard.
He also described the defection as unexpected but acknowledged that individuals are entitled to make political decisions they believe are in their best interest, particularly within the evolving political landscape in Abia State.
Obioha further stated that he remains committed to supporting the re-election bid of Governor Otti, describing it as his current political priority and a continuation of what he views as a progressive governance journey in the state.
He concluded by reaffirming his dedication to the development of Abia State and expressed optimism for continued progress under the present admin
istration.
