APC National Assembly Primary Election Committee Chairman, Barr. Erasmus Cishak, Arrives Abia Ahead of Primaries, Assures Transparent, Peaceful and Credible Exercise
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Assembly Primary Election Committee for Abia State, Barrister Erasmus Cishak, has arrived in the state ahead of the commencement of the party’s National Assembly primary elections.
His arrival is seen as a significant step in the party’s preparation for the forthcoming primaries, as APC stakeholders and aspirants across Abia State intensify consultations and mobilization ahead of the exercise.
Speaking shortly after arriving in the state, Barrister Cishak assured party members, aspirants and stakeholders that the committee under his leadership is fully committed to conducting a peaceful, transparent and hitch-free primary election process across all designated centres in the state.
He stated that the committee would uphold fairness, equity and credibility throughout the exercise, stressing that every aspirant would be given a level playing ground in line with the party’s constitution and guidelines governing the primaries.
Barrister Cishak also called on aspirants, delegates and party faithful to remain orderly, responsible and law-abiding during the process, urging them to place the collective interest of the party above personal ambitions.
According to him, the success of the primary elections would further strengthen internal democracy within the APC and reinforce the party’s unity and readiness ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The APC chieftain expressed optimism that the exercise would produce credible candidates capable of giving the party a stronger footing in Abia State and beyond.
Party faithful who welcomed the committee chairman described his arrival as a morale booster, expressing confidence in the ability of the committee to deliver a free, fair and acceptable primary election process.
