Abia Labour Party Convenes Extraordinary Stakeholders’ Meeting as Party Faithfuls Rally in Umuahia
The Abia State chapter of the Labour Party has announced plans to hold an Extraordinary Leaders and Stakeholders’ Meeting aimed at strengthening party unity, consolidating grassroots structures, and advancing strategic political engagements ahead of future political activities in the state.
The meeting, convened by the State Chairman on behalf of the State Working Committee of the party, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia, by 2:00pm prompt.
The leadership of the party has called on faithful members, leaders, stakeholders, and supporters across the state to attend the important gathering, which is expected to serve as a major platform for consultations, deliberations, and reaffirmation of the party’s commitment to progressive governance in Abia State.
The Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, will attend the event as the Special Guest of Honour, a development expected to further energize party supporters and reinforce the administration’s growing relationship with the grassroots.
The meeting is also expected to provide an opportunity for party leaders to review ongoing political developments, strengthen internal cohesion, and mobilize support towards sustaining the achievements of the present administration under the Labour Party platform.
The notice was jointly endorsed by the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Peter “The Rock” Azubuike, and the State Secretary, Barr. Chuks Akamadu, alongside members of the State Working Committee.
