British Council Opens Seven Job Opportunities Across Nigeria, Salaries Reach ₦40.4 Million

The British Council has opened a fresh recruitment window in Nigeria, announcing seven employment opportunities across technology, customer experience, examinations and finance.

The new vacancies are spread across Lagos, Abuja, Kano and other locations, with several positions offering hybrid working arrangements. The opportunities range from IT and customer relationship management to financial planning, examinations operations and workforce cost management.

Established in 1934, the British Council is the United Kingdom’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, working across more than 100 countries in areas including arts and culture, English language, education and civil society.

Among the newly advertised roles, salaries listed for two positions reach ₦18.4 million and ₦40.45 million annually, while other positions are placed on the organisation’s internal pay bands.

1. Systems Lead (CRM)

The British Council is seeking a Systems Lead to oversee the configuration, optimisation and adoption of its Customer Relationship Management platform across customer sales and service operations.

The successful candidate will serve as a CRM subject matter expert, supporting effective customer engagement, workflow efficiency, data integrity and the development of emerging AI-enabled capabilities.

Applicants are expected to have significant CRM experience, including system configuration and troubleshooting, automation and data management. Experience with Salesforce administration or certification, Salesforce Agentforce or AI agents, and multi-market customer service environments will be an added advantage.

Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required.

2. Channel Experience Lead

Location: Nigeria, Hybrid

This role will focus on improving customer interactions across digital and assisted-service channels, including web, chat, email and voice.

The successful candidate will work on customer journeys, identify service challenges and use feedback, analytics and performance data to improve the overall customer experience.

Experience in digital or assisted-service channels is required, while knowledge of UX research, usability testing, interaction design, CRM, telephony, chat platforms and knowledge-management systems will be beneficial.

3. IT Manager

4. Delivery Network Coordinator – Exams

This position is responsible for coordinating the secure and compliant delivery of examinations and related operations in Abuja.

Responsibilities include examination venue coordination, equipment readiness, materials handling, staff coordination and compliance with global examination standards.

Applicants should have a degree or equivalent relevant experience and demonstrate the ability to support secure service delivery. Experience with awarding bodies or educational assessment services is an advantage, while Lean Six Sigma certification is desirable.

5. E&E FP&A CoE Insights Senior Analyst

Significant experience in financial analysis and FP&A is expected, with knowledge of systems such as Anaplan and Power BI particularly relevant. SAP or similar ERP experience and exposure to multiple markets will be an advantage.

6. E&E Finance Business Partner

The Finance Business Partner will provide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance-analysis support to the British Council’s English and Exams business.

Candidates should have experience in financial modelling, forecasting and business partnering, alongside relevant finance experience.

Experience in education, commercial services, examinations or teaching-related environments may be advantageous, while knowledge of SAP or Anaplan is also beneficial.

7. FP&A CoE Staff Costs Manager

Location: Abuja/Lagos

Salary: ₦40,450,236 annually

The British Council is also looking for a Staff Costs Manager to lead staff-cost planning, forecasting, financial modelling and reporting within its FP&A Centre of Excellence.

The position will focus on workforce cost planning, data quality and financial insights that support workforce planning and business decisions.

Applicants should have relevant finance or accounting experience, with professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA considered an advantage. SAP experience and a background in delivering financial training may also strengthen an application.
