Man Raises Alarm Over Alleged Advances by Influential Abuja Men Approaching Men, Warns Against Manipulation
A Nigerian man has raised concerns over what he described as alleged approaches by influential men in Abuja seeking romantic relationships with other men, urging people who encounter such situations to exercise caution.
In a video shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, the man claimed that some men in the Federal Capital Territory have experienced approaches from individuals he described as powerful and well-connected. He further alleged that rejecting such advances could, in some circumstances, expose a person to manipulation or other forms of pressure.
Speaking about his alleged experiences and observations, he warned men against making dismissive statements about the possibility of being approached, arguing that such situations should not simply be treated as impossible.
“As a man in Abuja, if a man has never asked you, ‘Bro,’ you’ve not hustle. Don’t ever make mouth like, ‘God forbid, Tufiakwa, never me.’ Pray.
“Those people are not ordinary. Sometimes they might be tempting. One way or the other, they will manipulate you, or if that doesn’t work, once you eat or collect something from them, they’ve already brainwashed you.”
The speaker, who identified himself as a Fulani/Hausa man, maintained that the situation he was describing was real, while urging men to be mindful of their interactions with people who wield significant influence.
His comments also touched on the potential consequences of confronting powerful individuals. Rather than encouraging confrontation, he advised people to preserve evidence of interactions if they believe they are being pressured, threatened or manipulated.
“If you’ve heard something like this, me as a Fulani/Hausa man will tell you it is real. And to those of you that will say, ‘Them never touch person father?’ Person wey you go beat, the truth is there are some people you can’t touch.
“Whatever you do, let there be evidence, because they don’t leave single trace. But if not, they will make sure you land in Kuje Prison.”
