Nigeria Will Rise, Prosper, ASTOPU Aba Chairman, Victor Azubuike Tells Nigerians at 66
The Chairman of the Abia State Tricycle Operators Union (ASTOPU), Aba Zone, Comrade Victor Azubuike, has called on Nigerians to renew their faith in the country, embrace unity and remain committed to building a peaceful, productive and prosperous nation as Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary.
Azubuike, in his Independence Day message to Nigerians, described the anniversary as more than a celebration of freedom, urging citizens to use the occasion to reflect on the nation’s journey, appreciate its progress and strengthen their collective resolve to overcome the challenges confronting the country.
According to him, Nigeria’s difficulties should not overshadow the enormous resilience, creativity, courage and determination demonstrated by millions of Nigerians who continue to work and contribute to the growth of the nation despite prevailing challenges.
The ASTOPU Aba Zonal Chairman particularly acknowledged the contributions of transport operators and other hardworking Nigerians whose daily activities help drive commerce, connect communities and keep the economy moving.
He stressed that the responsibility of building a better Nigeria rests not only with government but also with citizens, noting that individual choices, character, enterprise, responsible conduct and commitment to community development all have important roles to play in shaping the nation’s future.
Azubuike urged Nigerians to replace division with unity, despair with hope and excuses with hard work, while encouraging citizens to respect the law, protect public infrastructure and promote peace in their communities.
He said the 66th Independence Anniversary should serve as a renewed reminder that the future of Nigeria remains a collective responsibility, adding that the Nigeria of the people’s dreams can be achieved when citizens and leaders work together with a shared sense of purpose.
“From the streets of Aba to every corner of our great country, ordinary Nigerians continue to work, struggle, innovate and build, proving every day that there is still immense hope in our nation,” he said.
The ASTOPU chairman also expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome its present difficulties and emerge stronger, more prosperous and more united.
“Nigeria will rise. Nigeria will prosper. And together, we shall continue to build the Nigeria we are proud to call home,” Azubuike declared.
He further extended his Independence Day greetings to Nigerians at home and abroad, members of ASTOPU Aba Zone and the people of Abia State, while praying for peace, progress and a brighter future for the country.
He concluded by reaffirming his commitment, alongside the leadership and members of ASTOPU Aba Zone, to contributing positively to the development of Aba and Nigeria at large as the nation marks 66 years of independence.
