ABIA @35: STATE GOVT ANNOUNCES INTERDENOMINATIONAL SERVICE AS COMMEMORATION ACTIVITIES BEGIN
The Abia State Government wishes to inform the general public, residents of the state, religious leaders, members of the Christian community and all stakeholders that an Interdenominational Service will hold as part of activities marking the 35th Anniversary of the creation of Abia State.
The special service will bring together people from different Christian denominations and all walks of life in an atmosphere of thanksgiving, prayers and unity, as Abians reflect on the journey of the state over the past 35 years and look forward with renewed hope to an even greater future.
The details of the service are as follows:
Date: Sunday, 23rd August, 2026
Time: 12 Noon
Venue: Okpara Square Event Centre , by Nnenna Oti Bus Terminal,Umuahia
The Government invites all citizens and residents of Abia State to join in this solemn and historic occasion as the state gives thanks to God for His grace, and prays for continued peace, unity, progress and prosperity.
Come, let us celebrate Abia at 35 and give thanks for the journey so far as we look ahead to a brighter future.
