Amb. Emmanuel Josiah, Hon. Peter Azubuike Join Dignitaries to Honour Late Monarch and Father of Abia State Commissioner, Prince Uzor Nwachukwu
The Founder of Evansino Humanitarian Foundation, Ambassador Emmanuel Josiah, and the Abia State Chairman of the Labour Party, Hon. Peter “The Rock” Azubuike, on Friday, June 5, 2026, joined top government officials, traditional rulers, church leaders, political stakeholders, and well-wishers in paying their last respects to the late traditional ruler of Nneoyi Amaise Autonomous Community, HRM Eze Sir George Eneogwe Nwachukwu, father of the Abia State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Sir Uzor Nwachukwu.
The burial service, which took place at St. Martin’s Anglican Church, Nneoyi Amaise Autonomous Community in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area, attracted dignitaries from different walks of life who gathered to celebrate the remarkable life and legacy of the revered monarch.
Ambassador Emmanuel Josiah and Hon. Peter Azubuike were among notable personalities who identified with the Nwachukwu family during the solemn event, demonstrating solidarity and honouring the memory of a man widely respected for his integrity, leadership, and commitment to community development.
Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, paid glowing tribute to the late monarch, describing him as a rare gift to humanity whose life embodied excellence, discipline, service, and dedication to education.
The Governor recalled that the late Eze Nwachukwu made significant contributions as an educator and community leader, touching countless lives through decades of service. He noted that the deceased, who passed on at the age of 93, left behind a legacy worthy of celebration.
Governor Otti revealed that the late monarch taught difficult subjects such as Physics and Mathematics and also served as his teacher, a role he said reflected the intellectual depth and commitment of the deceased to shaping future generations.
The Governor further stated that the monarch lived a fulfilled life and completed his earthly assignment, urging family members and loved ones to take comfort in his impactful journey and longevity.
He also highlighted what he described as remarkable patterns surrounding the monarch’s life, pointing out that several significant events in his life were connected to the number five, including his birth, baptism, death, and burial dates.
Governor Otti used the occasion to reassure the people of Abia State of his administration’s continued commitment to people-oriented governance, emphasizing that his government would remain focused on improving education, healthcare, and infrastructure across the state.
Delivering the sermon during the burial service, the Archbishop of Aba Diocese, Archbishop Isaac Nwaobia, reminded the congregation of the inevitability of death and urged Christians to devote their lives to serving God and humanity.
Drawing his message from Philippians 1:21, the cleric encouraged believers to remain steadfast in good works and impactful living, stressing that faithful service to God attracts eternal rewards.
Responding on behalf of the family, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Sir Uzor Nwachukwu, described his late father as a man of integrity, discipline, honesty, and hard work.
He appreciated Governor Alex Otti, government officials, traditional rulers, religious leaders, friends, and supporters for their prayers, encouragement, and solidarity throughout the mourning period, assuring that the family would continue to uphold the noble values for which their patriarch was known.
Also present at the burial ceremony were the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Priscilla Chidinma Otti; Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, Honourable Commissioners, Mayors, Top Government Appointees, political leaders, and other top government officials.
