Drama reportedly broke out during a community meeting after former Senator Mao Ohuabunwa urged members to rally behind President Bola Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 presidential election, rather than support NDC’s Peter Obi.
Ohuabunwa, who serves as the factional Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faction loyal to FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, reportedly made the appeal while addressing members of the community.
According to reports, the former senator argued that the Igbo people had made strategic mistakes in previous presidential elections and should reconsider their approach by uniting behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 contest.
