A quiet atmosphere of grief, reflection, and reverence enveloped Egbelu-Mbutu community in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State as the Chairman of the Abia State Tricycle Operators Union (ASTOPU), Aba Zone, Hon. Victor Azubuike, bid a final farewell to his elder brother, Mr. Emmanuel Ugochukwu Azubuike.
The burial ceremony, held at Egbelu Mbutu School, Egbelu-Mbutu, drew a large gathering of family members, associates, government officials, and union leaders who came to pay their last respects and stand in solidarity with the Azubuike family.
Delivering a deeply reflective sermon, Rev. Pastor Ugochukwu Anaba of the United Evangelical Church, Amapu Umuoha Superintendent, urged attendees to live lives of purpose and spiritual readiness. He emphasized the inevitability of death and the need for individuals to consciously prepare for eternity. Drawing biblical parallels, he referenced the lives of Enoch and Methuselah, noting that while Methuselah lived for many years, he still faced death, reinforcing the message that longevity does not exempt anyone from life’s ultimate end. He challenged the congregation to live in a manner that ensures peace and safety beyond this life.
In an emotional yet composed remark, Hon. Victor Azubuike expressed deep gratitude to all who attended the burial, appreciating their support and solidarity during the difficult time. He offered prayers for God’s protection and safe journey for everyone returning to their respective destinations.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of several dignitaries and notable personalities, including the Honourable Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukeagbu; Hon. Dannie Ubani, widely known as Manga (Ord. Eze Mua); the CEO of Abia SME Microfinance Bank, Mazi Chimereze Okeigbo Okoro; the Deputy Mayor of Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Mrs. Vivian Obilor; the former TC Deputy Mayor of the LGA, Hon. Eberechukwu Ahuruonye, popularly known as Rasman Rasato, and Councillors.
Also in attendance were key government functionaries, the leadership of ASTOPU, representatives of the Abia State Harmonized Task Force (ABSHTF), including the Aba Area Deputy Commander, alongside a host of sympathizers from different walks of life.
The burial ceremony not only marked the final journey of Mr. Ugochukwu Azubuike but also served as a moment of deep reflection on life, legacy, and the certainty 
of mortality.
