OPay Debunks Viral ‘September Shutdown’ Rumour, Warns Users Against Fake Communications
OPay has moved to dispel a viral message claiming that the fintech company would be going on a break in September, describing the circulating information as false and urging customers to disregard it.
In a clarification issued amid growing attention to the viral post, OPay reassured its users that the company remains fully operational and has no plans to suspend its services or shut down in September.
The company urged customers to be more vigilant when encountering messages purportedly from OPay, stressing that genuine users should be able to distinguish the company’s official communications from fabricated posts circulating online.
