Rev Dachomo cries out for urgent prayers as Plateau Christians face renewed threats

Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo has raised a distress call over renewed attacks in Plateau State, warning that Christian communities are again facing deadly threats as the year draws to a close.

Speaking at the Glory Dome, headquarters of Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja, the cleric said extremist groups have intensified mobilization ahead of the Christmas season, allegedly vowing to unleash more deadly assaults.

According to him, intelligence from affected areas shows that women within the terrorist cells reportedly contribute N100,000 each, while men contribute N200,000, to acquire weapons for what he described as a planned jihad targeting Christian communities in Plateau.

“We need your prayers… They have vowed we will not spend our Christmas this year. They say we will run with rice in our hands because they are ready for Jihad,” Dachomo lamented.

He stressed that prayer remains the strongest defence for residents, insisting that divine intervention is more potent than any weapon.

“Your prayer is more than AK-47. It’s more than rocket launchers. Let’s launch our prayers to heaven,” he urged.

Dachomo also praised Dr. Paul Enenche for consistently speaking against the killings and interceding for affected communities, including Ganarop in Barkin Ladi LGA, where he serves as a spiritual leader.

“He is the only person among the giant churches in Nigeria that spoke vehemently against the genocide. We thank God He is using him to give us hope,” he said.

The cleric ended with a passionate plea for sustained prayers and national attention to avert further bloodshed.

“Christians must be safe. There is a genocide in Nigeria. Pray for us in Jesus’ name,” he appealed.

Plateau State has continued to witness recurring violent attacks, leading to deaths, displacement, and heightened fear among residents.
