The successful candidate will ensure that security technologies, processes and architecture are aligned with Shell’s Group Security Standards as well as applicable regulatory requirements.

The role will involve leading security technology matters, providing technical expertise to stakeholders and developing and managing the SCiN Security Technology Roadmap.

The Technical Security Lead will also identify and evaluate emerging security technologies and potential partners, work with internal teams to design and implement technical security solutions, and review engineering and architectural deliverables.

Other responsibilities include developing and maintaining technical specifications, standards, tools and processes, conducting strategic reviews of high-priority and high-risk assets, and developing improvement strategies and business cases.

The successful applicant will also create and review High-Level Security Designs, provide technical leadership and operational oversight, and lead Genetec system delivery and access control operations.

Shell expects the successful candidate to mentor and train security personnel, support contractors and industry partners, and contribute to cost savings through quotation reviews, value engineering and contract support.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution and have at least five years of relevant experience, including a minimum of two years working with security technology or equipment.

Professional Security Professional certification or an equivalent qualification will be an advantage. Experience and certification in the use of Genetec interfaces are also required.
