Taraba PDP chairman, Abubakar Bawa resigns

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State, Abubakar Bawa, has resigned from his position and withdrawn his membership from the party.

Bawa announced his resignation on Monday in a brief statement, thanking stakeholders for the opportunity to serve and wishing the party success in its future endeavours.

Although he did not provide reasons for his decision, party insiders say his exit may be linked to the rumored defection of Governor Agbu Kefas to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Reports indicate Bawa was among those absent at the PDP elective national convention held on Saturday in Ibadan.
