…as Examinations Development Center Announces 99.44% Pass Rate
The Examinations Development Center (EDC) has officially released the results of the 2025 Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination, marking another significant milestone in the state’s basic education assessment process.
According to the EDC, a total of 71,586 candidates registered for the examination, while 71,341 candidates sat for it. Out of this number, 70,941 pupils passed, representing an impressive 99.44% success rate, while 400 candidates, representing 0.56%, did not meet the required pass mark.
The Center noted that the full results have been uploaded online and are now accessible to head teachers, school proprietors, parents, and the general public.
Stakeholders have been advised to visit the designated results portal to check and print the performance records of their pupils.
The EDC further urged that all complaints or enquiries regarding the results be directed to the Director, Examinations Development Center, Umuahia, for prompt attention.
The announcement was signed by Mrs. U.P. Kanu, Director of Examinations, who reaffirmed the Center’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and the continuous improvement of the state’s examination processes.
