THE CARPENTER’S CHURCH PORT-HARCOURT MOURNS THE PASSING OF PASTOR NKECHI ENE
The Carpenter’s Church, Port Harcourt, has announced the passing of its presiding pastor and mother-in-Israel, Pastor Nkechi Ene, who went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
According to an official statement issued by Pastor Sola Akinwale on behalf of the church, Pastor Ene had just returned to Nigeria after a successful and extensive ministry trip filled with miracles, testimonies, and divine encounters, but experienced a sudden health crisis while in Lagos.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing into glory of God’s servant, our presiding pastor, our mother-in-Israel, Pastor Nkechi Ene,” the statement read.
The Carpenter’s Church described Pastor Ene as “a woman of great faith who lived and believed the Word of God till the very end.” She was celebrated as a devoted servant of God who dedicated her life to the gospel, touching countless lives through her teaching, compassion, and commitment to truth.
“As our hearts hurt and questions assail our minds while we process this shocking news, we rest assured in the unwavering truth that God is good and His mercies endure forever. “She has now heard the words of her Master: ‘Well done, good and faithful servant,’” the statement continued.
The church called on members and the Christian community to stand together in love and unity, comforting and encouraging one another through this period of mourning. Special prayers and support were requested for her husband, Bro. Emeka Ene, and their four daughters: Zoe, Chloe, Tracy, and Osi as well as for her mother, Ma. Mercy Chijioke, and her siblings.
“We look up to and lean on the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, to strengthen us. Despite the void of her departure, we are grateful to God for an excellent and productive life well lived,” Pastor Akinwale added.
The Carpenter’s Church further described Pastor Ene as “one of the great generals of God in our generation, one who lived and taught the undiluted Word of God, danced with the Holy Spirit, and by precept and example taught others to do the same.”
Her legacy, they emphasized, will continue to inspire believers around the world to live lives of purpose, devotion, and unwavering faith.
In closing, the church reaffirmed its faith and gratitude despite the pain of loss:
“The Lord is good and His mercies endure forever. We celebrate God’s general, our mother-in-Israel, Pastor Mrs. Nkechinyere Ene.”
