ABSG Set to Employ 33 New Consultants as Gov. Otti Administration Sustains Massive Health Sector Recruitment Drive

The Abia State Government has announced plans to employ 33 additional consultants into the state’s health system, following their successful performance during interviews conducted by officials of the Ministry of Health and the Civil Service Commission.

This move is part of the ongoing recruitment exercise aimed at strengthening the healthcare delivery system across the state.

According to the Ministry of Information, the government’s health recruitment portal remains open to qualified applicants, including Ophthalmologists, Dental Officers, Medical Officers, and both contract and full-time consultants, as the administration continues to expand access to quality medical services.

The Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, made the disclosure on Monday at the Government House, Umuahia, while briefing newsmen on the outcome of this week’s State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Alex Otti.

The recruitment exercise underscores the Otti administration’s sustained commitment to rebuilding Abia’s health infrastructure, improving manpower, and ensuring that residents have access to efficient and reliable healthcare services in line with the government’s broader vision for a healthier Abia.
