ABA SPORTS CLUB 1926 SET TO HONOUR MAZI ALICHE OTTI TONIGHT WITH PRESTIGIOUS GOLD AWARD AHEAD OF OHANAEZE ABA NORTH INAUGURATION
The atmosphere in Aba is already buzzing with excitement as the Chairman-Designate of OhaNaEze Ndigbo, Aba North Chapter, Mazi Aliche Otti (Ikemba Aro), is set to receive the prestigious Gold Award in the Hall of Fame of the renowned Aba Sports Club 1926 tonight.
This recognition comes barely 24 hours before his formal inauguration as Chairman of the OhaNaEze Aba North Chapter, marking a historic moment for both Otti and the Igbo socio-cultural community in the LGA.
The Aba Sports Club 1926, in a formal notification dated 17th November 2025 and addressed to Mazi Otti Aliche, announced his elevation to the club’s esteemed Hall of Fame. The club stated that the award reflects the club’s appreciation for his selfless service, unwavering commitment, and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of the institution.
According to the management, the induction ceremony will hold tonight, Friday, 21st November 2025, at the club’s main hall by 6pm. Members, dignitaries, and guests are expected to grace the prestigious occasion, with Mazi Otti encouraged to attend in the company of his loved ones.
The honour, endorsed by the club’s General Secretary, Ike S. Iroegbu, Esq., further solidifies Mazi Otti’s reputation as a community builder, leader, and prominent stakeholder in the social and cultural development of Aba.
