Bandits abduct three in Sokoto’s Sabon Birni

Armed bandits attacked Sabon Birni town in Sabon-Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State on Monday night, abducting three people.

The incident was contained in a post shared on X by Bakatsine on Wednesday.

According to Bakatsine, residents said the attack happened in the Jargaba area, where two young women and one man were taken away.

“Yesterday night, armed bandits attacked Sabon Birni town in the Sabon-Birni LGA of Sokoto State. According to residents, three people were abducted in the Jargaba area, two young women and one man. Although security forces reportedly made significant efforts to respond, the attackers escaped with the captives,” Bakatsine wrote.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the attack.
