ASTOPU Aba Zone Chairman, Victor Azubuike, Welcomes Members to 2026, Assures of Prosperity and Stronger Union
The Chairman of the Abia State Tricycles Operators Union (ASTOPU), Aba Zone, Hon. Victor Azubuike, has warmly welcomed tricycle operators and residents of Aba Zone to the year 2026, expressing optimism, hope, and renewed commitment to the welfare of union members.
In his New Year message released to mark the beginning of 2026, Hon. Azubuike thanked God for protection and grace throughout the past year, noting that 2025 came with its fair share of challenges and triumphs for tricycle operators across Aba.
According to him, despite economic and operational difficulties, ASTOPU members demonstrated resilience, unity, and determination, ensuring that transportation activities continued smoothly and that Aba’s economy remained active.
“The past year tested our strength, unity, and perseverance, but together, we stood firm and kept the wheels of Aba moving,” the ASTOPU chairman stated.
Hon. Azubuike assured members that 2026 would be a year of consolidation, improved welfare, and stronger engagement between the union and relevant government authorities. He emphasized that the union would continue to pursue a more conducive operating environment, peace on the roads, and respect for the rights and dignity of tricycle operators.
He also called on ASTOPU members to embrace the New Year with discipline, professionalism, and a renewed sense of responsibility, urging them to obey traffic regulations, shun violence, and conduct their daily activities with integrity.
“As operators, unity remains our greatest strength. With it, we can build a stronger union and contribute meaningfully to the growth and economic vibrancy of Aba and Abia State at large,” he said.
The ASTOPU Aba Zone chairman further prayed for good health, increased income, family peace, and business growth for all members and residents as the New Year begins.
He concluded by wishing all tricycle operators and the people of Aba Zone a happy, prosperous, and fruitful 2026, while reaffirming his commitment to advancing the interests of ASTOPU and supporting the overall development of Abia State.
