2027: “Tinubu Won’t Secure 20% of Votes in South-East“ — Isaac Fayose Dares Supporters, Offers ₦10 Million Bet After Controversial City Boys Movement Event in Owerri
A Nigerian businessman and advocate of governance, Isaac Fayose, has claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not secure up to 20 percent of votes in the South-East during the 2027 general election.
He added that he is willing to stake N10m with anyone to firm his strong position that the South-East is a no go area for Tinubu despite all his political lobby.
Fayose made the claim in a Facebook post on Sunday while reacting to a recent outing by members of the City Boys Movement in Owerri where palliatives meant for distribution were carted away by the mob.
The group, a campaign support organisation reportedly established by Seyi Tinubu, had visited Imo State earlier in the week to mobilise support for the president ahead of the next election cycle.
However, the outing drew criticism on social media over what observers described as a low turnout despite the presence of some celebrities, including popular socialite and businessman Cubana Chief Priest.
Reacting to the event, Fayose described the gathering as unimpressive and insisted that the president would struggle to gain significant electoral support in the South-East region.
“The City Boys movement outing in Owerri yesterday was a show of shame. Security operatives there were more than the crowd,” he wrote.
Fayose added that he was willing to wager ₦10 million with members of the group, insisting that President Tinubu would not secure up to 20 percent of the total votes cast in the region in the 2027 election unless the process is manipulated.
“I am ready to bet any of them with 10 million naira. President Tinubu won’t get 20 percent of the total vote cast come 2027,” he stated.
