Aba Power Releases Updated Prepaid Meter Prices Under MAP Scheme, Reaffirms Free Application for Customers
Aba Power Limited (APL) has announced the current prices of prepaid meters under the Meter Asset Provider (MAP) Scheme, reaffirming that applications for prepaid meters remain free for both new and existing customers across its franchise area.
The electricity distribution company disclosed that the updated deregulated meter prices will remain valid until September 2026 and cover both single-phase and three-phase meters supplied by accredited Meter Asset Providers.
According to the approved pricing schedule, EVE Electric Technology offers single-phase meters at ₦110,725.00 and three-phase meters at ₦185,496.63.
Hampoc Utilities has fixed its prices at ₦104,409.38 for single-phase meters and ₦169,043.75 for three-phase meters.
Customers opting for meters supplied by Kayz Consortium will pay ₦109,569.38 for single-phase meters and ₦209,114.38 for three-phase meters.
For KELM, the approved prices are ₦105,887.50 for single-phase meters and ₦225,750.00 for three-phase meters.
Master Energy Metering has set its prices at ₦107,500.00 for single-phase meters and ₦182,750.00 for three-phase meters.
Meanwhile, Sabrud Consortium offers single-phase meters at ₦109,865.00 and three-phase meters at ₦205,200.30.
Aba Power noted that all prices are quoted in naira and are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT).
The company encouraged customers seeking prepaid meters to apply through its official website or visit any Aba Power office to complete the application process. It stressed that no fees are charged for meter applications, urging customers to avoid unauthorized agents who may attempt to exploit unsuspecting consumers.
The MAP Scheme remains one of the key initiatives aimed at accelerating meter deployment, reducing dependence on estimated billing, and ensuring greater transparency and accountability in electricity consumption and billing.
