ABIA STATE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES MARCH 26, 2026 STATE BURIAL SERVICE FOR REV. DR. UMA UKPAI
The Abia State Government has announced plans to hold an official State Burial Service in honour of the late Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, a revered cleric, distinguished servant of God, and an iconic figure whose life of faith, leadership, and humanitarian service left a lasting impact on Abia State, Nigeria, and the global Christian community.
The solemn event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Ogurube Layout, Umuahia, with proceedings set to commence at 10:00 a.m.
According to the government, the State Burial Service will serve as a moment of collective reflection and tribute, bringing together the government and people of Abia State to celebrate a life devoted to spiritual service, moral guidance, and societal transformation.
Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai was widely regarded as a symbol of unwavering faith, humility, and excellence in ministry. His legacy spans generations, having inspired countless individuals through his teachings, philanthropic engagements, and unwavering commitment to the advancement of humanity.
The Abia State Government has extended an open invitation to religious leaders, government officials, stakeholders, and members of the public to participate in the ceremony, which seeks to honour and celebrate the enduring legacy of a man whose life exemplified great impact and influence.
