Cubana Chiefpriest Enters South-East Political Debate, Endorses Governor Alex Otti Amid Criticism, Praises Visible Development in Abia and Imo
Popular businessman and socialite, Cubana Chiefpriest, has stirred fresh conversations across the South-East political space with a bold and uncompromising endorsement of Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti. His intervention comes at a time when the Abia governor has been under public criticism from actress Doris Ogala and former Abia State governor, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who alleged that Governor Otti was merely repainting and refurbishing existing roads instead of constructing new ones.
Reacting to the growing criticism, Cubana Chiefpriest took to social media to declare his position, insisting that only two leaders currently exemplify purposeful and result-driven governance in the South-East.
According to him, the leadership synergy between Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, and Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, represents the true face of development in the region.
“Na @he_hopeuzodimma we know as South-East leader. His collaboration with @alexottiofr is enough for us,” he wrote.
The businessman went further to warn critics and political opponents, suggesting that attacks against Governor Otti may carry serious political consequences. He described Governor Otti’s emergence as divinely inspired, grounding his opinion in personal experience and firsthand observation of development in the region.
“Alex Otti is God’s sent to the South-East. I was born and raised in Aba. All my life, I have never witnessed the level of growth I have seen in Abia and Imo these past few years.”
Cubana Chiefpriest emphasized that both Governor Otti and Governor Uzodimma stand out as the only leaders in the South-East delivering tangible results, not media stunts or recycled campaign promises, but visible and measurable transformation on the ground. He dismissed other political actors in the region as unserious, stressing that the people already know who is genuinely working for them.
He also did not mince words when addressing politicians allegedly plotting against Governor Otti ahead of the 2027 election cycle.
“Any politician attacking Gov. Alex Otti is evil, and we will take them out from politics come 2027,” he declared.
His comments triggered widespread reactions across social media platforms, with users sharing diverse opinions on governance, political strategy, and development in the South-East.
@kingjosiahmba remarked: “Politics is a game of numbers, I strongly recommend Alex otti should join ADC, this will boost his chance.”
@ik1881 added: “Hope is doing tremendously well in Owerri, i crossed over there and what i saw was very very impressive.”
Another user, obimartins, praised Cubana Chiefpriest’s influence, stating: “Again! Like I have said before – Give CP his flowers The PR he’s doing for the South-East is priceless, if converted to money, we’re talking billions. May your days be long, Eze Mmụọ. For a real Christmas and New Year experience, the South-East is the place to be.”
Similarly, @iam_chuksfrank shared his experience, saying: “God bless you CP I traveled to Umuahia this December and I saw the wonderful work and development he deserve a second term no doubt.”
However, not all reactions were fully aligned, as @ekeneonyembano commented: “You can’t compare Alex Otti 2 years to Hope uzodimma 6yrs in office, During election hope uzodimma came distant 4th. Meaning he has no mandate with the locals. But in Abia state Alex otti was the number one peoples choice.”
Meanwhile, the controversy surrounding actress Doris Ogala continues to unfold.
Earlier reports revealed that Ogala accused Pastor Chris Okafor of receiving $60,000 through his church account from alleged fraudsters. She claimed there was an agreement involving a 10 percent cut, but alleged that the pastor later became greedy.
According to Ogala, the fraudsters reportedly alerted Interpol, and when officers arrived to arrest the pastor, he panicked and allegedly contacted her for help.
As political tensions rise in the South-East, Cubana Chiefpriest’s forceful endorsement of Governor Alex Otti has added a new layer to the ongoing debate, further energizing public discourse ahea
d of future electoral contests.
