Eze Ndigbo Sokoto Leads Delegation to Sokoto Prisons in Solidarity Visit to Nnamdi Kanu, Reaffirms Igbo Community’s Unwavering Support
The Eze Ndigbo of Sokoto, His Royal Majesty Eze TOB Gbahara, has paid a solidarity visit to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, at the Sokoto Correctional Centre, accompanied by key members of his cabinet.
The visit underscored a strong show of unity and concern from the Igbo community in Sokoto, as the traditional ruler personally led the delegation to check on Kanu’s welfare and to express communal support during his detention.
During the visit, Eze Gbahara reassured that the Igbo community in Sokoto remains firmly committed to standing with Nnamdi Kanu throughout his stay at the Sokoto prisons. He emphasized that the visit was rooted in the cultural values of solidarity, brotherhood, and collective responsibility that define the Igbo people, irrespective of location.
