Another face-off between factions of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is currently brewing as expelled members of the party set to hold an emergency meeting at the party’a National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.

DAILY POST recalls that the PDP on Saturday suspended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, Senator Samuel Anyanwu and other members loyal to the former Rivers Governor.

Their expulsion was announced during the just concluded National Elective Convention that took place in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

However, a notice issued on Monday by the factional National Secretary of the party, Samuel Anyanwu called for an emergency meeting barely 48 hours after their expulsion.

The notice, which was sighted by DAILY POST, urged members of the National Executive Council, NEC and Board of Trustees, BoT, to attend the meeting scheduled for Tuesday.

It stated that “attendance is very important as crucial matters will be discussed and addressed”.
