GOV. ALEX OTTI SPEAKS TO ABIANS: Workers Smile as Gov. Otti Sustains Prompt Salary Payments, Approves Leave Allowances; Reaffirms Commitment to All-Round Development of Abia
Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, has reaffirmed his administration’s strong commitment to workers’ welfare, announcing that civil servants in the state now enjoy consistent and timely payment of their monthly salaries, with wages paid on or before the 28th of every month.
The Governor also assured Abia workers that the long-awaited payment of leave allowances has received official approval, underscoring his resolve to prioritise the wellbeing, motivation and dignity of the state workforce.
Governor Otti made this known on Tuesday during the December edition of the Monthly Media Parley, Governor Otti Speaks, while responding to questions from journalists on governance, reforms and service delivery across the state.
Beyond workers’ welfare, the Governor disclosed that Abia State continues to record steady and measurable progress in key sectors critical to socio-economic growth. These include road infrastructure, environmental management, healthcare delivery, education and security, among others.
He acknowledged the enormity of challenges inherited by his administration but maintained that focused leadership, prudent resource management and determined implementation of policies have continued to yield positive outcomes.
Governor Otti assured Abians that his government remains unwavering in its drive to deliver sustainable development, stressing that ongoing reforms and interventions are designed to reposition the state on a path of long-term growth, stability and shared pro
sperity.
