Governor Alex Otti Set to Commission Digitally Equipped Obingwa General Hospital
Governor Alex Otti is set to further strengthen access to quality healthcare in Abia State as he commissions the newly developed Obingwa General Hospital at Mboko in Obingwa Local Government Area today, Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The commissioning of the modern healthcare facility marks another significant step in the ongoing transformation of the state’s health sector under the administration of Governor Otti.
The hospital is equipped with modern and digital health infrastructure designed to improve healthcare delivery and expand access to quality medical services for residents of Obingwa and surrounding communities.
The development was announced by the Abia State Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, on Monday, August 24, 2026, while briefing journalists at the Government House, Umuahia, on the outcome of this week’s State Executive Council meeting presided over by State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR.
The commissioning of the Obingwa General Hospital reflects the administration’s continued commitment to rebuilding critical public infrastructure and ensuring that quality healthcare is brought closer to the people.
