Ambassador Josiah, popularly known as Evansino, stated that his decision to enter the race was born out of a deep desire to serve the people and address long-standing socio-economic challenges in the constituency.
Speaking during his declaration, he reflected on his personal journey and humanitarian commitment, noting that his experiences with hardship shaped his passion for service and community development. He emphasized that his life’s mission has always been centered on empathy and empowerment, particularly for the less privileged.

He further explained that his entry into partisan politics under the Labour Party is not driven by personal ambition, but by a commitment to deepen service delivery at a legislative level.
According to him, the goal is to build a constituency where leadership is accountable, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the people.
Evansino stressed that if elected, he intends to prioritize youth empowerment, women inclusion, elderly care, and infrastructural development, while ensuring that no community is left behind in the development agenda of the federal constituency.

Tony Ngwakwe, while speaking at the event, described Evansino as a grassroots-oriented individual whose humanitarian work has already made significant impact across Obingwa. He expressed optimism that if given the mandate, Evansino would deliver effective representation and development-driven leadership.
In a brief closed-door interview, the Abia State Chairman of the Labour Party, Hon. Peter Azubuike, who arrived later due to political engagements, described Evansino as a promising entrant into the political space. He noted that the declaration marks a significant step in his political journey, adding that his involvement has already registered his presence within the party structure.
