New born baby reportedly found dead in Benue

The lifeless body of a new born baby has reportedly been discovered in Gboko,the Headquarters of Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State.

Sources said an unidentified woman allegedly gave birth to a baby boy and killed the newborn shortly after delivery.

The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Sunday behind Government Secondary School, Gboko sending shockwaves in parts of the neighborhood.

Residents are calling for immediate police intervention to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure justice is served.

The Spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command could not be reached to confirm the incident at time of filling  report.
