Odogwu Asaba’s Wife Breaks Silence, Denies Rape and Murder Allegations, Vows to Stand By Husband
The wife of businessman and socialite Odogwu Asaba has broken her silence over the controversy surrounding her husband and the late Favour, strongly denying allegations that he raped or killed the young woman.
Speaking amid the growing public attention and intense social media discussions surrounding the case, Odogwu Asaba’s wife insisted that her husband only had an affair with Favour and should not be pronounced guilty based on allegations circulating online.
She said she had deliberately remained silent while closely following developments and trying to handle the situation “the right way.”
According to her, the situation had also taken a disturbing turn for her family, as she alleged that some bloggers had taken photographs of her and her children and were allegedly tracking them in what she described as an attempt to intimidate her into silence. Despite the pressure and allegations, she declared that her loyalty to her husband remained unwavering.
“No matter what happened, Odogwu Asaba is my husband and I stand with him 100%. Nothing is going to turn my back on him.”
Addressing the rape allegations directly, she said she had known Odogwu Asaba for eight years and did not believe he was capable of committing such an act against Favour.
She insisted:
“Odogwu Asaba did not kill anybody. Odogwu Asaba did not rape Favour. Odogwu Asaba only had an affair with the girl.”
The woman maintained that her years of marriage and relationship with the businessman had given her a deep understanding of his character, adding that the allegations being circulated should not automatically be accepted as facts.
She also appealed to members of the public to allow proper investigations and due process to take their course instead of allowing emotions and social media narratives to determine guilt.
“Social media is not a courtroom. People should bear that in mind, and we don’t do these things with emotions.”
According to her, there were still details surrounding the matter that had not been made known to the public. She argued that her husband should not be blamed for Favour’s death or accused of rape without evidence and the outcome of a proper investigation.
Reaffirming her commitment to him, she said she would continue standing by her husband regardless of the public pressure surrounding the case.
“Odogwu Asaba is my husband, my husband for eight years, with four children, and I am going to stand by him. I am going to stand by him and he will come back.”
She further questioned why her husband would need to force himself on any woman, citing his popularity and claiming that women willingly sought intimate relationships with him.
“Even when this man does not have fame, he has not raped anybody,” she said, adding that some women could “actually give themselves to him free of charge” simply for the experience of being able to say they had slept with or been around Odogwu Asaba.
The businessman’s wife maintained that her husband had his own side of the story and expressed confidence that he would eventually have the opportunity to speak for himself and give his personal account of everything that happened.
As public attention continues to focus on the circumstances surrounding the late Favour and the allegations against Odogwu Asaba, his wife has made her position clear: she does not believe the accusations against her husband and remains determined to stand by him through the controversy.
