Rufai Oseni Seeks One-on-One Interview With Atiku And Tinubu, Proposes 50-Minute Interview
Arise News journalist and broadcaster Rufai Oseni has publicly expressed his interest in conducting separate one-on-one interviews with former Vice President and Action Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Oseni made his position known in a post shared on his X account, where he outlined a proposed format for the interviews and indicated that he would prefer an extended, direct engagement with each of the two prominent Nigerian political figures.
In his proposal, Oseni called for a 50-minute one-on-one session with each politician, featuring six questions and five follow-up questions. The format would allow for deeper examination of the issues raised by both men while also giving the interviewer an opportunity to seek clarification and press further on their responses.
Oseni wrote on X:
“I will like to Interview Mr Atiku and President Tinubu.
“One-on-one.
“50minutes!
“6 questions, 5 follow-ups!“
The proposal has generated interest because of the political significance of both potential interviews.
Atiku remains one of Nigeria’s most prominent opposition figures and a major participant in the country’s political discourse, while Tinubu, as the sitting President, remains at the centre of national conversations surrounding governance, the economy, security and the 2027 political landscape.
A direct interview involving either of the two figures would potentially provide an opportunity for Nigerians to hear their positions on major national issues in an extended and closely focused format.
Oseni’s proposed six-question, five-follow-up structure also suggests an interview designed to go beyond brief responses, allowing important claims and policy positions to be examined in greater detail.
For now, Oseni’s post represents an open invitation for the proposed engagements, with no indication in the statement that either Atiku or Tinubu has accepted the request.
