UCCIMA Flags Off Allocation of Exhibition Spaces for “Umuahia Expo 2026” as Abia Gears Up for Landmark Domestic Trade Fair to Boost Business Growth and Investment Opportunities
The Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (UCCIMA) has officially commenced the allocation of exhibition spaces to participants ahead of the much-anticipated Abia Domestic Trade Fair, themed Umuahia Expo 2026, scheduled to run from April 10 to April 19.
The trade fair, which is built around the theme Promoting Ease of Doing Business in Abia State, underscores the chamber’s sustained commitment to stimulating economic activities and opening up new opportunities for businesses across the state.
Chairman of the 2026 Trade Fair Committee, Mazi Ben Nwankwo, disclosed in Umuahia that the event will be hosted at the BCA International Field. He described the upcoming expo as a pioneering initiative in the area, strategically designed to provide a dynamic platform for entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and service providers to showcase their products and services to a wider audience.
According to him, the expo is expected to draw participants from within and beyond Abia State, creating a vibrant marketplace for networking, strategic partnerships, and business expansion. The event is also positioned to serve as a convergence point for industry players seeking to explore new markets and investment prospects.
The fair will feature a wide range of activities, including product exhibitions, business-to-business engagements, and interactive sessions aimed at enhancing the visibility of local enterprises while encouraging innovation and competitiveness. These engagements are expected to further stimulate investment inflow and strengthen the state’s commercial ecosystem.
Organizers have assured prospective exhibitors and visitors of a well-coordinated and secure environment throughout the duration of the event. Businesses yet to secure exhibition spaces are being urged to take advantage of the ongoing allocation process to ensure participation in what is projected to be a high-impact commercial gathering.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to position Abia State as a thriving hub for commerce and industry, in alignment with government-driven reforms targeted at improving the ease of doing business. UCCIMA has reaffirmed its readiness to deliver a successful and impactful trade fair that will not only promote local content but also drive sustainable economic growth across the state.
