Uchechi Kanu Expresses Deep Gratitude to Governor Alex Otti for Visiting Her Husband, Nnamdi Kanu
Uchechi Okwu-Kanu, wife of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has publicly expressed profound gratitude to the Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, following the Governor’s visit to her husband.
In a heartfelt message shared on Monday, Uchechi described Governor Otti’s gesture as deeply significant, noting that over the years, his voice and actions have spoken more consistently and sincerely for Nnamdi Kanu than those of any other prominent figure in Ala Igbo. She emphasized that his sincerity of purpose has never gone unnoticed.
She highlighted that true advocacy demands both courage and discretion, especially in a time when noise often overshadows substance.
According to her, issues meant for public discourse will be addressed openly, while those requiring confidentiality will remain behind closed doors. She stressed that despite rising public commentary, what truly matters is the enduring pursuit of justice carried out with clarity and dignity.
Uchechi Kanu affirmed that she clearly understands Governor Otti’s message and expressed her deep appreciation for his continued solidarity.
She ended her statement with a message of peace — Udo! — underscoring her hope for sustained calm and justice.
