Works Minister, David Umahi Orders Removal of Billboards on Niger Bridge, Directs Replacement With President Tinubu Displays
Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has directed the immediate removal of all advertising billboards mounted on the Niger Bridge in Onitsha, Anambra State, following the completion of the ongoing rehabilitation works on the strategic bridge.
The minister further directed that the existing advertising structures be replaced with billboards featuring President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to the directive, the move is intended to publicly acknowledge and appreciate the Tinubu administration for what the minister described as unprecedented infrastructural development across the South-East.
The Niger Bridge remains a critical transportation link connecting communities and facilitating the movement of people, goods and commercial activities between the South-East and other parts of Nigeria.
The directive is expected to take effect once the ongoing repair and rehabilitation works on the bridge are completed, placing renewed attention on the federal government’s infrastructure investments in the region.
