Abia State Ministry of Education Announces Schedule for SS2 Complimentary Promotion Examination

The Abia State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, through the Examinations Development Centre (EDC), has announced important updates concerning the upcoming SS2 Complimentary Promotion Examination.

According to the EDC, the examination is scheduled to hold from October 7 to 10, 2025, and is specifically for students who missed the last SS2 Mandatory Central Promotion Examination (MCPE).

Registration for the examination will be done through schools at the EDC office and will run from September 22 to 30, 2025. A scratch card, which costs ₦1,000, will be required for both registration and result checking.

As part of the preparations, all schools are expected to:

1. Submit the number of eligible students for the examination.

2. Indicate the specific subjects each student will be writing.

The EDC emphasized that no SS3 enrollment, WAEC, NECO, or JAMB registration will be allowed without participation in the SS2 Promotion Examination.

The deadline for submission of all required information coincides with the close of registration on September 30, 2025.

The Ministry urged school proprietors, heads, parents, and guardians to ensure full compliance to guarantee a smooth and successful exercise.
