Salvation Ministries Unveils World-Class 120,000-Seater ‘Hand of God’ Cathedral in Port Harcourt, A Marvel of Modern Church Architecture
In what has been described as one of the most remarkable architectural accomplishments in Africa’s Christian community, Salvation Ministries has officially dedicated its monumental 120,000-seater “Hand of God” Cathedral in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The grand edifice, which now stands as a global symbol of excellence and divine inspiration, is a masterpiece of modern engineering and spiritual vision, combining faith with architectural ingenuity.
Spanning a massive footprint of 56,000 square metres, the cathedral is structured with five expansive wings, each measuring 50 by 100 meters, providing ample space and comfort for worshippers. At its core, the church features a nine-floor administrative block that towers 30 meters high, housing various offices and facilities to support the ministry’s global operations.
The interior of the cathedral radiates luxury and precision, boasting gold-streaked doors, lovely chandeliers, and a meticulously designed floor that is already 90% completed, reflecting an exceptional attention to detail. In addition, the cathedral includes 400 toilets distributed across 20 units, emphasizing both functionality and the comfort of its massive congregation.
