Church Service Ends in Shock as Suspected Thieves Steal Aba North Chairman’s Aide’s Toyota Highlander in Aba
A church outing ended in distress for Hon. Ugochukwu Azubuike, an aide to the Chairman of Aba North Local Government Area, after his Toyota Highlander was reportedly stolen in broad daylight outside his residence in Aba.
The incident occurred a few minutes before 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at No. 5 Hilltop Street, Ogbor Hill, Aba.
According to information made available, Hon. Azubuike had just returned home from church and parked the vehicle in front of his house. Moments later, he discovered that the SUV had been stolen by yet-to-be-identified persons, triggering an immediate search for the vehicle.
The stolen vehicle is a Toyota Highlander with registration number AAA 707 CG, Engine Number: 3MZ0082145, and Chassis Number: JTEEP21A640030268.
Security agencies and members of the public have been urged to remain vigilant and report any sighting or information that could lead to the recovery of the vehicle and the arrest of those responsible.
A cash reward has been promised for anyone who provides credible information that leads to the successful recovery of the stolen Toyota Highlander. Authorities have appealed to residents to promptly share any useful information through the appropriate security 
channels.
