Abia Goes Green as Governor Alex Otti to Commission State-of-the-Art Electric Buses on Monday
Abia State is set to take a significant leap in clean energy and modern transportation as Governor Alex Chioma Otti formally commissions the state’s newly acquired electric buses on Monday, December 22, 2025.
The commissioning ceremony will take place at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Umuahia, by 1:00 pm, and will be performed by Governor Otti, marking another major milestone in the administration’s drive toward sustainable development, smart mobility, and climate-responsive governance.
The electric buses initiative is a flagship project of the Otti administration, aimed at transforming public transportation in the state.
