APAMS Opens 19th Branch in Port Harcourt, Names City South-South Regional Headquarters
APAMS Funeral Limited has strengthened its presence in Nigeria’s South-South region with the unveiling of its new Port Harcourt office in Rivers State, marking another major milestone in the company’s growing national expansion.
The new facility, located along Km. 3 East/West Road, near Nkpolu Bus Stop, beside Conoil Petrol Station in Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt, was officially unveiled on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, by the Founder and Chairman of APAMS Funeral Limited, Dr. Kevin Chukwumobi.
The unveiling coincided with Chukwumobi’s 56th birthday, transforming the occasion into a double celebration as the funeral services company commissioned its 19th branch office.
The Port Harcourt facility will serve not only as APAMS’ operational base in Rivers State but also as the South-South Regional Headquarters of the company.
From the new regional headquarters, APAMS is expected to coordinate its activities and expansion across several South-South states, including Edo, Delta and Bayelsa, among others.
The strategic location of Port Harcourt provides APAMS with a stronger foothold in one of the region’s major commercial centres while positioning the company to respond more efficiently to the needs of clients across Rivers State and neighbouring states.
The latest expansion further underscores the company’s drive to take its funeral and related services closer to communities across Nigeria while establishing a broader and more coordinated operational network.
For Chukwumobi, the Port Harcourt unveiling also continues a tradition of marking his birthdays with significant business milestones. Rather than limiting the celebration to a personal occasion, the APAMS founder has repeatedly used his birthday as an opportunity to unveil projects and commission new facilities connected to the company’s growth.
With the opening of the Port Harcourt office, APAMS now has another strategic base from which to consolidate its presence in the South-South and pursue further expansion across the country.
The event attracted prominent personalities, business leaders and associates, including Lady Nkem Chukwumobi, Executive Director of APAMS Funeral Limited; Chief Pius Njoku, Chairman of Pillars Group; High Chief Dr. Darlington Nwabunike, President of De Imperial Philanthropic Family and CEO of Turo Africa Limited; and Chief Nwabueze Umeh, Ofiafuluego Na Okija.
Others in attendance included Chief Mike Agbasi, Ikenga Ukpor and Chairman of Heritage Group; Chief Anthony Maduka, Chairman of Vegas Astoria Hotel, Onitsha; Chief Felix Ojimba, CEO of Transtel Group; Chief Chinedu Okeke, Ekwe Ogidi and CEO of Golden Tulip Hotel, Asaba; and Chief Izuchukwu Ubabuko, CEO of Ingoliment Gold.
