Premier League giants Chelsea FC have taken the decisive step to part ways with manager Liam Rosenior following a disappointing string of results that has severely dented the club’s ambitions this season.
The decision was taken on Wednesday evening, coming barely 24 hours after the Blues suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion in a Premier League clash that further exposed the team’s struggles.
That loss proved costly, as Chelsea slipped to seventh place on the league table, dealing a significant blow to their hopes of securing a coveted UEFA Champions League spot. With the competition for top-four positions intensifying, the club’s leadership appears to have acted swiftly in a bid to salvage the remainder of the campaign.
Rosenior’s dismissal follows a worrying downturn in form, with the team enduring five consecutive league defeats without scoring a single goal, an alarming statistic for a club of Chelsea’s stature.
