Engr. Adinigwe Ugochukwu Nwoke Secures Labour Party Nomination Form for Ukwa East/West Federal Constituency as Momentum Builds in Abia
The political atmosphere within the Labour Party in Abia State continued to gather momentum on Thursday, May 14, 2026, as Engr. Adinigwe Ugochukwu Nwoke officially clinched the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination Form for the Ukwa East and West Federal Constituency ahead of the forthcoming electoral process.
The development was made public during his visit to the Governor’s Office in Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area, further strengthening the growing wave of political participation and confidence within the Labour Party structure in Abia State.
Engr. Nwoke’s emergence adds to the increasing number of key political figures and serving lawmakers who have already secured the party’s nomination forms, signaling sustained unity, consolidation, and strategic preparation by the Labour Party across the state.
Earlier, five serving members of the House of Representatives under the Labour Party platform had also obtained their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to seek re-election into the National Assembly.
Among them are Rep. Ginger Obinna Onwusibe for Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency; Rep. Obi Aguocha for Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency; Rep. Amobi Godwin Ogah for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency; Rep. Ibe Okwara Osonwa for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency; and Rep Alex Mascot Ikwechegh for Aba North and South Federal Constituency.
Political observers believe the latest developments within the Labour Party reflect the growing acceptance and strengthening of the party’s structure across Abia State, especially as stakeholders and elected representatives continue to align with the party’s vision and grassroots-driven political movement.
The steady influx of aspirants and returning lawmakers has also been viewed as a major indication of confidence in the leadership direction of the party in Abia State as preparations intensify ahead of future political contests.
